Mid-Fairfield AIDS Project operates a scattered site housing program for adults and families.

Mission

The mission of Mid-Fairfield AIDS Project is to provide support and advocacy for people and their families with AIDS and HIV infection, to connect people to the services they need, and to provide prevention and education to help stop the spread of HIV, Hep C and all STDs.

Background

Mid-Fairfield AIDS Project has been serving persons with HIV/AIDS since 1986. It was created to help those infected and affected by HIV.

Population Served

Mid-Fairfield AIDS Project operates a scattered site housing program that serves individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS. Direct and indirect services are provided. Substance users must enroll in a treatment program prior to or upon admission. The agency serves individuals from the towns of Norwalk, Westport, Weston, and Wilton.

Services Provided

The agency provides housing and all housing related programs, case management and advocacy services, individual and family counseling, support groups, transportation, a food pantry, food vouchers, computer/library access, and emergency financial aid. The agency also provides drug treatment placements and has many prevention programs.
