Program
Offices are located in New London and Norwich, the Alliance for Living supports 42 units of scattered site housing for homeless individuals and families throughout New London County. The agency provides comprehensive non-medical services.

Mission
The Alliance for Living is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people affected by HIV/AIDS in New London County. Additionally, Alliance for Living is committed to preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS through education and taking a greater role in helping define policies within the community it services that affect individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.

Background
The Alliance for Living and its predecessor organizations have been serving persons living with HIV/AIDS since 1986. As the only ASO in New London County the Alliance for Living is uniquely positioned to have as its primary focus the people of New London County impacted by HIV/AIDS. With this comes the responsibility not only to provide supportive services but also to develop an approach that is both short and long term and enables people impacted by the disease to have a say in how they will be served.

Population Served
The Alliance for Living serves individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families. The majority of Alliance's members live at or below the poverty level and need substantial assistance with achieving the highest level of independence possible. The agency serves only New London County residents.
